AccessAudit

The web should work for everyone.

We’re making accessibility testing easier to understand, so finding a barrier becomes the beginning of a better experience.

A page you can move through

Keyboard users need a logical path, visible focus, and controls they can reach.

Content you can read

Clear contrast and legible text help people understand and use what you’ve built.

Meaning beyond the visual

Useful labels, image descriptions, and page structure give assistive technology the context it needs.

Close the gap between finding issues and fixing them.

Plenty of tools can tell a developer that something is wrong. Understanding what to do next can take much longer. That is where accessibility work often stalls.

AccessAudit brings the evidence and the next step together. Scan a site, inspect the affected elements, understand the WCAG criteria, and review practical repair guidance.

The aim is simple: give people enough clarity to make a useful change, then help them see the progress.

Good guidance starts with clear principles.

Practice what we test

Visible focus, meaningful labels, keyboard access, and reduced motion belong in this product too. Accessibility is an ongoing practice.

Keep people in control

Repair suggestions are guidance to review and apply. Your code stays yours; the assistant helps you make an informed change.

Start with established standards

axe-core and custom rules map findings to WCAG criteria, keeping the evidence connected to a shared, understandable standard.

Be clear about the limits

Automated checks uncover many common barriers. They work best alongside manual testing and feedback from people using assistive technology.

A project with a practical purpose.

AccessAudit began as a final-year computing project at the University of Roehampton: an application to crawl public websites, find accessibility issues, and offer AI-assisted repair guidance.

The goal has stayed the same: make accessibility testing approachable enough to become part of everyday development.

Make your next improvement an accessible one.
